From that first uneven haircut to owning Fore Runners Barbershop, my journey has truly been one of growth, purpose, and grace. And I'm grateful for every step.
My Story
From Hair Plugs to Purpose -
Every journey has a starting point - Mine began with a bad haircut.
One day, I tried giving my 3-year-old son a haircut, and let's just Say .. it didn't go as planned But instead of letting that moment defeat me, it sparked something greater. I decided to turn a mistake into a mission. That choice led me to enroll in the Barbering Program at Lawson State Community College, where my passion for barbering truly began.
Before stepping into this industry, I worked in banking and real estate, fields where professionalism wasn't optional it was the standard. When entered the barbering world, I - noticed that same level of professionalism was missing in many spaces. So I made it my purpose to raise the bar.
I invested in myself from the start:
-
Upgrading my tools
-
Completing continuing education
-
Expanding my skills
-
Fully committing to mastering my craft
That dedication led me to earn my Instructor License through the Jefferson County Barber Commission. For me, becoming an instructor wasn't just another achievement - it was calling, It meant stepping into leadership, uplifting the profession, and helping others grow.
Over the past 20+ years, my artistic ability has evolved, and my passion has only gotten stronger. I've become more detail-oriented, creative, and consistent - always striving to deliver excellence behind the chair and in the classroom.
My foundation has always been built on:
-
Commitment Hard Work
-
Faith Dedication Belief in Myself
-
Trusting the vision God has given me
